Having completed the stand and ancillaries for the model, the next section is about building the main affair: the engine proper. Continue reading Clerget 9B– Hasegawa 1:8 white metal kit (Part 2)
As I mentioned at the end of my last post, I’ve been taking a small break from the boat building to assemble Hasegawa’s white metal version of their 1:8 scale Clerget 9B engine.

This is the final update on the build of this Camel. There’s not a huge amount to say really, as only a small amount of the rigging remained to be completed. In fact only 3 or 4 wires needed to be added, and they were only delayed because I’d run out of the necessary wire when I made the previous post. Well it’s been considerably longer since the last post than I intended, but I’ve been busy doing the ill thing again.

We’re on the final lap now and hopefully the model will soon be completed and hung up in our living room, to complement the Sopwith Camel. Continue reading FOKKER DR.1 – HASEGAWA 1:8 (PART 16) Top Wing Covering and Fuselage Tidying Up
Now it was onto a part of the build that I had been dreading. Covering the fuselage and rudder. Continue reading FOKKER DR.1 – HASEGAWA 1:8 (PART 15) Fuselage Covering and Wing Installation
